MEET THE ACTIN’ UP TEAM!

"The theatre teacher is not just a teacher, but a conductor of dreams, a sculptor of voices, and a guardian of the imagination."

Sanzia Pearman

Co-Founder and Dance Director of Actin’ Up Theater Camp.

Sanzia has been dancing and performing since she could walk and talk and has been training in Bermuda and the United States. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Spelman College in Atlanta, GA, with a degree in Theater and Educational Studies. In 2023, she spent a semester in London, where she deepened her studies in Shakespeare, physical acting, and performance techniques.

Sanzia is pursuing her Master’s in Arts and Entertainment Management at Pace University in New York. Alongside her academic journey, she wears many hats—running The Reunion Social Society, a networking and event company for young Black professionals, interning with some of the world’s top stylists, and working in social media marketing. Despite her busy schedule, she never forgets where her heart lies: giving back to her community and helping to shape Bermuda’s next generation of performers.

A proud alumna of In Motion School of Dance and a Walnut Hill School for the Arts (Theater ’20) graduate in Natick, MA, Sanzia received intensive training in all aspects of theater, both on stage and behind the scenes. Her performance credits include roles in Chicago, High School Musical, Mamma Mia, and Swing!, often taking on soloist and dance captain responsibilities. She further honed her craft over three summers at Stagedoor Manor, a prestigious performing arts training program.

Passionate about working with young performers, Sanzia has also served as a Dance Specialist for Bermuda’s Department of Youth, Sport & Recreation, inspiring children to embrace the arts. Beyond the stage, she enjoys traveling, marketing, and exploring creative opportunities that fuse performance and business.

Through her work, Sanzia is committed to creating, mentoring, and sharing her love for theater with the next generation of Bermuda’s brightest stars.
